How to enroll for the eCard Plus?
Step 1: Bring your old eCard to your servicing GSIS office
Step 2: The GSIS personnel keys in updates in your membership profile, such as cell phone numbers and home address
Step 3: Have your picture taken
Step 4: Have your left and right thumbs and index fingers scanned
You may also enroll in mobile eCard Plus enrollment centers stationed in selected government agencies provided you have your old eCard.
If you have lost your old eCard, or it is you first time to apply for the eCard, please bring two valid IDs and go to your servicing GSIS office. You will also need to fill up the eCard Plus enrollment form.
The eCard Plus will be processed at the GSIS home office. The GSIS will then mail the eCard Plus to the home address provided by the member. The letter comes with the eCard Plus, ATM PIN (personal identification number) mailer, and a guide on how to activate the eCard Plus.
How to validate your eCard Plus
Step 1: Place your eCard Plus on the card reader of the kiosk.
Step 2: Select any of your pre-registered fingers on the touch screen monitor.
Step 3: Place your selected finger on the kiosk’s biometric scanner.
Step 4: Wait for the scree to show a message that the validation is successful. Repeat Step 3 if necessary until this message appears.
Message: Validation successful. If you are an active GSIS member, you may apply for a loan after 48 hours. If you are a GSIS pensioner, you may now use your GSIS eCard Plus to view your pension information and access the annual reporting system.
Your eCard Plus will be activated within 48 hours from the time you have successfully validated your fingerprint.
How to apply for a loan using your eCard Plus and the GW@PS kiosk
Step 1: Place your eCard Plus on the card reader of the GW@PS kiosk.
Step 2: Using the kiosk touch screen monitor, select the “Loans Window” icon. You may apply for the P10,000 Cash Advance, or the GSIS Conso-Loan, or both.
Step 3: The GW@PS then displays your tentative loanable amount, amortization, and repayment period.
Step 4: Update your cell phone number and agree to the terms and conditions of the loan you are applying for.
Step 5: Select any of your pre-registered fingers displayed on the screen. Scan the finger you selected in the kiosk biometric scaner. Log out when you are done.
GW@PS then sends an electronic notification to your AAO. If your AAO approves your loan, then GSIS will instruct UnionBank to deposit your loan proceeds to your eCard Plus account.
You will receive a text message from UnionBank when the amount is already in your account or when your application has been denied. You may withdraw your cash from any of the 6,000 Megalink, Bancnet, and Expressnet ATMS all over the country.
